Each week following an artist's post, reflection questions and research ideas will get posted. These are aimed towards college level courses (senior seminar, composition, dance education, and more), but of course anyone can read the postscript and find thought-provoking questions and activities.
1. After reading Nadia's profile, which 2 ideas stuck out for you? Discuss as a whole group or in trios.
2. Nadia talked about her various movement interests/activities. List your own. What role does each one play in your life (cross training, social acitivity, cardiovascular fitness, relaxation, supplemental activity to dancing, etc.)? How does each activity relate to your dancing? How can each activity improve or add to your dancing and movement vocabulary and toolbox?
3. Push/pull. Nadia wrote about the push/pull of balancing dance and her career other interests, as well as balancing paying work and non-paying work. Reflect on your own life and these tensions/struggles/questions.
