Each week following an artist's post, reflection questions and research ideas will get posted. These are aimed towards college level courses (senior seminar, composition, dance education, and more), but of course anyone can read the postscript and find thought-provoking questions and activities.
Consider: Craig's Top 10 List
At the end of Craig's artist profile, he listed 10 final thoughts. Re-read his list, and consider each idea and your own life as a dancer.
Inspiration: Various Artists
As inspiration, Craig mentioned several artists and companies, including: Momix, Pilobolus, Brian Sanders JUNK, 4dart, dandypunk, and sb dance. Select two of these artists/groups and surf the web to find out a little more about them.
Reflect: Training Specific to Your Projects
Craig had the ability during his time working with groups like Cirque du Soleil, to train "on the clock" and to work with them on training specific to the pieces and his roles. Even if you are dancing part-time in your life, look at the skills needed for your current dance projects. How can you train more specifically for these roles, whether it is a dance class, strength training, taking an acting course, etc. How can you be ready to do your best work, and best care for your body?
